This is “The Gum Drawer” Pt 2 Which is also a birthday card for my 90 year old Grandma. My siblings/cousins and I as we were.
Figure it’s safe to post here as she’s probably not on twitter.
My grandmother used to have a hutch drawer full of green felt pens, yellow lined paper pads and Wrigley’s gum. We used to call it “The Gum Drawer” Beech-Nut was the most favored flavor.
There was nothing better than a summer afternoon drawing with green pens and chewing gum til your jaw hurt.
There are too many self referential jokes in this birthday card to explain here. There’s only one thing to know… “Baby Friggin Monkey!!!” we saw for real at the Zoo on Sunday.
I know what we are doing this weekend! Have a Happy and Safe Memorial Day weekend. Or, as my kids call it, Candy Parade Day! Seriously, though thanks to those who sacrificed, and I’m not talking about Dodge Ball.
Just found this unused, kinda awkward, but I like it, Disco 12” sleeve idea.
I’m going to be appearing with these talented folks in at the Book Festival of Reading in Knoxville, TN this weekend. If you live in the area please come by. More info here.
I’m super excited to be taking part of this festival. Plus there’s a biscuit festival happening simultaneously in the same Park!!!!
TOP SECRET! As anyone who knows me knows, I’m terrible at keeping secrets. Today I’m the “secret” artist/author at Haverford Township Library. Join us for a Dinosaur art project at 4-5pm today. More info here.
My piece in the @AgencyDU Pencil Factory show at Pan Macmillan London. I’ve been going through old magazines I’ve had lying around and painting little friends on some of the pages. More info at the Dutch Uncle UK site at the link below.
